Linux Operating System KNOPPIX 9.3 _ A little info obtained from the Internet

Source : Internet

After downloading via the P2P clients (eMule, Torrent), please leave the downloaded file in the share!

Another download opportunity from @cyber_cube uploaded 6/2023:

nfo on this:
KNOPPIX_9.3.iso
4.7 GB / 23 Parts a 200 MB
3 % Recovery data
Winrar v.5.60
no password

After downloading the Knoppix 9.3 ISO file, burn bootable to DVD or to a USB stick (UltraISO, Rufus, etc.) After that, Knoppix starts quickly and without any problems.

I would like to point out that Knoppix can also be used as an "installed operating system" from a fast USB 3.0 boot stick, or even better from a mobile USB 3.0 SSD or M.2 disk, or even as an "installed operating system" from an internal hard drive! Knoppix also stores data and settings and updates on it!

This is particularly attractive because it can also be used to bring old hardware to life when you install Knoppix 9.3 on the internal hard drive (as described below). It is not primarily a collection of tools, but a fully operational user operating system with office, graphics, entertainment media, photo, films and Internet features! For me, the installed version of Knoppix has a RAM footprint of 368MB RAM after the computer startup. That's little, it's hard to beat by a modern operating system with a graphical interface. This means: A mill from the Pentium 4 era with 500MB RAM can "just" work. If it is 1GB of RAM, you can surf in two windows. That's about how you can imagine it.

Instructions: If you want to install Knoppix (on a flash medium or hard drive), boot Knoppix pure from stick or DVD and then call up Knoppix ---> Copy Knoppix to Flash in the start menu.
Follow the instructions of the wizard. After the wizard has been run, you have a bootable USB flash medium with an install version of Knoppix. It also works with an internal hard drive!

But there is a bug! Unfortunately, it doesn't start!

Solution: Before booting on the boot medium on which you have installed Knoppix, you have to delete the 0-byte file syslinux in the directory "Boot" and rename the folder isolinux to syslinux. Only then will it work!
