1. A  5G Laptop ( a 5G Cellular-connected   Laptop )  

do not depend on a hotspot , just like a 5G smartphone . A  5G Laptop ( a 5G Cellular-connected   Laptop ) is very convenient because we do not have to use a smartphone or a 5G smartphone as a mobile hotspot (or a portable W-FI hotspot) in order to have Internet access on our Laptop . No tethering required .  No 5G smartphone required . No Microsoft PhoneLink software required . Using a smartphone or a 5G smartphone as a mobile hotspot ( or a portable W-FI hotspot ) can take the battery life from the smartphone or the 5G smartphone .

2. A  5G Laptop ( a 5G Cellular-connected   Laptop )   will give us the ability to have an   always-on   connection no matter where we are , with respect to the 5G coverage ,  without ever logging in , just like a  5G smartphone

3. A  5G Laptop ( a 5G Cellular-connected   Laptop ) can offer a larger screen ( a 15.6 inches screen size or larger is a good form factor for a 5G Laptop ) , a keyboard , a mouse , and a more powerful hardware ( for example , an i7   processor/microprocessor   which is used in a  Windows 10 5G Laptop shown here ) than a 5G smartphone, which can improve productivity and user experience.

4. A  5G Laptop ( a 5G Cellular-connected   Laptop ) SIM Card and Data Plan can be shared with a 5G Smartphone and vice versa ( A  5G smartphone SIM Card and Data Plan can also be shared with a 5G Laptop) , meaning , if I pull out the 5G SIM card from my 5G smartphone and insert it inside my 5G Laptop , I should be able to use my 5G Laptop and connect to the Internet at 5G speed and at the same time I can make voice calls ( make phone calls and reply phone calls ) on my 5G Laptop , just like what I did with my 5G smartphone . Currently , as of today August 2023 , if I  pull out the 5G SIM card from my 5G smartphone and try to use it on my 5G Laptop ,   my 5G Laptop will not be able to connect to any 5G network in order to access the Internet , let alone make phone calls .  Each device requires its own SIM card to connect to the Internet .

If a 5G smartphone SIM Card and Data Plan can be shared with a 5G Laptop ( a 5G Cellular-connected   Laptop ) , there is no need to purchase another 5G SIM card and subscribe to another Cellular Data Plan for the 5G Laptop ( a 5G Cellular-connected   Laptop ) . This save money !  

With the advent of 5G and IoT , as of today August 2023 , Telcos should offer services whereby a 5G " Unlimited Cellular Data Plan " from a 5G Laptop can be shared with a 5G smartphone or vice versa , at a reasonable price . If this can be done , there is no need to purchase another 5G SIM card and subscribe to another Cellular Data Plan . This save money , too !
