Installation of Linux Operating Systems in the PC/Laptop environment can be done in so many ways . One way how we can install Linux  Operating System on the  15.6 inches  Chrome   OS   Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone   hybrid  is to do  a fresh install of Linux Operating System on the   15.6 inches  Chrome OS  Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone  hybrid .  Steps that we are going to take on how to  do a fresh install  of  Linux Operating  System (we take Linux OS Ubuntu 18.10 as an example) on a  15.6 inches  Chrome OS   Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone  hybrid are :
  
1. we have to ensure that the  15.6 inches  Chrome OS  Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone  hybrid  have  a   
 UEFI/BIOS (software/firmware) on the System Board .

2. we have to ensure that we have  3 units  of full-size  USB 2.0  or  3 units of full-size  USB 3.0  on the  15.6 inches  Chrome OS Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone   hybrid .

Since we are doing a  fresh install of Linux Operating System Ubuntu  18.10  on  the  15.6 inches  Chrome OS  Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone  hybrid then  2 units of full-size USB 2.0  or  2 units of  full-size USB 3.0  should be sufficient . 
The first unit of full-size USB port (USB 2.0 or USB 3.0)  is  connected to an external DVD-RW drive so that we can insert the Linux OS Ubuntu 18.10 Live DVD to begin the software installation . The second unit of full-size USB port (USB 2.0 or USB 3.0) is connected to and external hard disk drive  or 
flash drive where the Linux OS  Ubuntu 18.10 will reside .

Another way involve hard disk drive cloning and we need to utilize 3 units of full-size USB port (USB 2.0 or USB 3.0)  simultaneously .  If we have a  external hard disk or a spare external hard disk that is already installed with  
Linux OS Ubuntu 18.10  and we have another  external hard disk and we  want to install it on the  15.6 inches  Chrome OS  Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone  hybrid , then  1 unit of full-size USB port is connected to an external DVD-RW drive (to insert a  a bootable Live CD like Clonezilla for cloning purposes) and the other 2 units of full-size USB port is connected to the SOURCE hard disk drive and the TARGET hard disk drive .
Note that for both method we use external hard disk drives and we use  Linux Operating System Ubuntu 18.10  as the Operating System of choice . Installation of other Operating System
(Linux OS  Ubuntu 18.10  or  Linux OS KNOPPIX 8.2) on the external hard disk drive which is then connected to the full-size USB port (USB 2.0 or USB 3.0) of the 15.6 inches  Chrome OS  Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone   hybrid , does not override the existing Chrome  OS , which is residing , which is powering  the
15.6 inches  Chrome OS   Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone   hybrid . 
With the presence of UEFI/BIOS on the System Board of the  15.6 inches  Chrome OS   Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone  hybrid , we can select to  boot from  the  external hard disk drive or flash drive which has been installed with Linux Operating System Ubuntu 18.10  .  To the best of my knowledge , only Linux Operating System Ubuntu  18.10  and  Linux Operating  System  KNOPPIX 8.2  and other Linux variants can be booted from an external hard disk drive or flash drive with the help of  UEFI/BIOS .
Once again , installation of other Operating System  like  Linux OS  Ubuntu  18.10  or  Linux OS KNOPPIX 8.2  on the external hard disk drive which is connected to the USB port  of  the  15.6 inches  Chrome OS   Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone  hybrid  does not override the existing Chrome  OS  which is residing  inside the  15.6 inches  Chrome OS   Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone  hybrid . The only snag when installing  Linux OS  Ubuntu  18.10  is , the  15.6 inches  Chrome  OS  Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone  hybrid cannot make telephone calls and receive telephone calls , cannot send and receive sms , cannot WhatsApp , cannot WeChat , cannot Snapchat ,  cannot  Instagram , etc., etc.  After the  Linux OS  Ubuntu 18.10   installation is complete and after we have finished doing what we want to do with the  Linux OS  Ubuntu  18.10 , just shutdown the  Linux OS  Ubuntu  18.10 .  Disconnect the external hard disk drive (which is installed with Linux OS Ubuntu 18.10) from the  15.6 inches  Chrome OS   Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone   hybrid ,  reboot/restart the 
 15.6 inches  Chrome OS   Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone  hybrid , then we can use the  15.6 inches  Chrome OS   Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone  hybrid  just like an ordinary  Android  Smartphone ,  just like an ordinary Windows Smartphone .  Now , we can make phone calls , we can receive phone calls , we can send sms , we can WhatsApp , we can WeChat , we can Snapchat , we can Instagram , we can watch YouTube/Videos/Movies , we can connect to printers , we can connect to image scanners , and a long list of everything the PC/Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone   can do ……..…….. we can also do with our  15.6 inches  Chrome OS   Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone   hybrid .

3. the 15.6 inches Chrome  OS  Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone   hybrid(foldable 360 degrees)  must have an HDMI port .

4.  Let us say for the sake of elegance , or appearance , or 
 because the  hardware/software  manufacturer want to make
 the 15.6 inches  Chrome OS  OS   Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone
 hybrid(foldable 360 degrees)  thin and light and sleek and slim
 and they decided not to put so many full-size USB ports inside
 the  15.6  inches Chrome  OS   Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone

hybrid(foldable 360 degrees) , then the  hardware/software  manufacturer should put at least  1 unit of full-size USB port (USB 2.0 or USB 3.0) so that we can connect them to a  USB   2.0/3.0   Docking Station .

IF THE  15.6 INCHES  CHROME  OS LAPTOP/TABLET/SMARTPHONE  HYBRID  LOOKS LIKE A  SMARTPHONE :

1.  the 15.6 inches Chrome   OS  Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone  hybrid(smartphone)  must be thin and light and slim and sleek  like a  Smartphone  and should be able to accommodate a Ultra Slim internal DVD-RW player  .  Imagine this , picture this , a  GOOGLE Pixel 3 XL  with  15.6 inches screen size and with a  Ultra Slim internal DVD-RW player  built-in  ,  BUT  WITHOUT  THE  KEYBOARD . 

2. the 15.6 inches Chrome  OS  Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone   hybrid(smartphone)   must have at least a minimum of  15.6 inches screen size because it has to function like a Laptop and it has to function like a Tablet .

15.6 inches form factor for  a  Smartphone  would be fair enough because it has to function like a  PC/Laptop  and  like a Tablet . 

As of today , 26th.October 2018 , big screen Smartphones or Phablets  is only
6 inches or  7 inches  screen size .
Could you imagine  a  15.6 inches  Smartphone ?
Once again , imagine this , picture this , a  GOOGLE Pixel 3 XL with  15.6 inches screen size (just like a  15.6 inches Chrome OS  Laptop ,   BUT WITHOUT THE KEYBOARD) .
Nowadays , making a phone call with a  10.1 inch Tablet or  10.8 inch Tablet or  12.2 inch Tablet or  12.9 inch Tablet is normal , so ,
USING A  15.6 INCHES  SMARTPHONE  OR  15.6 INCHES  TABLET TO MAKE A PHONE CALL IS NOT  UNORTHODOX .
Sales of big-screen smartphones (6 inches to 7 inches) will soar in coming years because there are people who game on mobile phones (Windows Smartphones and Android Smartphones) and  there are people who watch videos on mobile phones (Windows Smartphones and Android Smartphones) . 
Due to this ,  15.6 inches is a good screen size and 15.6 inches  is a good form factor to have in a Smartphone  in order to play 
games/casual games    and to watch videos  and I believe this is one good reason  to   increase the current screen size of Smartphones from  6 or 7 inches  to  15.6 inches today .  There is nothing wrong with having  15.6 inches  Smartphones .  As of today , 2nd.February2019 , if we can have  15.6 inches  Windows 10 Laptops , if we can have  15.6 inches  Chrome OS  Laptops , if we can have  15.6 inches Android Laptops/Tablets ,  in the market then having  a  15.6 inches  Chrome OS  Smartphone with built-in Ultra Slim internal DVD-RW player in the market today can be accepted especially when the  15.6 inches  Chrome OS   Smartphone with built-in  Ultra Slim DVD-RW player  is thin and light and sleek  and slim  and  the  15.6 inches Chrome OS  Smartphone with 
built-in Ultra Slim DVD-RW player  can  function like a  
15.6 inches   PC/Laptop and can function  like  a  
15.6 inches  Tablet .
Furthermore . if  a  GOOGLE Pixel 3 XL   have  a  15.6 inches  screen size , I believe , there is no need to   to project the GOOGLE Pixel 3 XL to a Desktop monitor/Extended Portable Monitor , because with that  15.6 inches screen size ,  the  GOOGLE Pixel 3 XL   has already the Desktop size of a PC and it has already the Desktop size of a monitor . Unless we want to connect the GOOGLE Pixel 3 XL  to a larger display with much bigger screen size like 17 inches , 27 inches , 32 inches , 40 inches , 50 inches , etc.

 3. the 15.6 inches  Chrome   OS  Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone  hybrid  (Smartphone) must have at least
1 unit of USB Type-C port so that we can connect it to a 
USB Type-C  Docking Station and in turn connect it  to various peripheral devices  [ 1 ] and UTILIZE THE FULL POTENTIAL of  the  15.6 inches  Chrome OS
Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone   hybrid(smartphone)  just like a  PC/Laptop .

 I HAVE A DREAM OF A   15.6 INCHES   SMARTPHONE THAT CAN ALSO BE MY  15.6 INCHES  LAPTOP AND CAN ALSO BE MY  15.6 INCHES   TABLET .
THE   15.6 INCHES  CHROME  OS  LAPTOP/TABLET/SMARTPHONE  HYBRID  ALREADY DOES  THAT .     
 I GUESS THIS IS ONE WAY HOW WE CAN TURN A
 CHROME OS  SMARTPHONE   INTO A  PC .
