ACER Aspire R15 i7  Laptop  when connected to a  PANASONIC 40 inch TV  Monitor  via HDMI , my preferred  resolution for the  Laptop is 900 x 1600  and my preferred resolution for the  PANASONIC 40 inch TV  Monitor is 1280 x 720
