Connected a 500 GB External Hard Disk(inside this 500 GB Hard Disk is a Windows 10 Operating System installed using the traditional method , that is , by connecting the 500GB Hard Disk to the SATA cable) to the USB 3.0 port of a MSI GP70 2PE Leopard Laptop computer hardware . The MSI GP70 2PE Leopard Laptop computer hardware is running Linux Operating System UBUNTU 24.04. The Linux Operating System UBUNTU 24.04 is installed inside a 160 GB External Hard Disk(the 160GB Hard Disk is connected to an External Casing) and the 160 GB External Hard Disk is then connected to the USB 3.0 port of the MSI GP70 2PE Leopard Laptop computer hardware , meaning , the 160GB Hard Disk is not internally connected to the SATA port of the MSI GP70 2PE Leopard Motherboard .
Booting up the Linux Operating System UBUNTU 24.04 on the MSI GP70 2PE Leopard Laptop computer hardware require setting up the BIOS to boot up from the USB Hard Disk Drive first , before booting up from the internal SATA Hard Disk Drive.
Currenly , the Linux Operating System UBUNTU 24.04 did not recognise the 500 GB External Hard Disk(inside this 500 GB Hard Disk is a Windows 10 Operating System installed using the traditional method , meaning , the 500GB hard disk is connected directly to the Motherboard of a Computer via a SATA interface and the Windows 10 Operating System is installed inside the 500GB Hard Disk using a Windows 10 Installation DVD .) when the 500 GB External Hard Disk is connected to the USB 3.0 port of the MSI GP70 2PE Leopard Laptop computer hardware .
To solve this problem , below is the how-to :
