Troubleshoot my daughter's Laptop which is an MSI GP70 2PE Leopard , installed with Windows 10 Operating System . Booting up the Laptop causes an error that says below:
GRUB LOADING STAGE 1.5 GRUB LOADING , PLEASE WAIT ERROR 21
It all started when I decide to install Linux Operating System KNOPPIX 8.6 on a 500 GB SATA Hard Disk Drive with the help of a SATA/IDE adapter as shown below , which is then connected to the MSI GP70 2PE Laptop .
One end of the red-colored SATA cable is connected to the 500 GB SATA Hard Disk Drive and the other end of the red-colored SATA cable is connected to the SATA/IDE Adapter . The USB cable of the SATA/IDE Adapter is then connected to the USB port of the MSI GP70 2PE Laptop . To power the 500 GB SATA Hard Disk Drive , I use an External Power Supply .
I managed to successfully installed the Linux Operating System KNOPPIX 8.6 on the 500 GB SATA Hard Disk Drive side-by-side with the Windows 10 Operating System (which was preinstalled on the MSI GP70 2PE Leopard) with the help of GRUB BOOTLOADER . Having said that , I can can toogle between the two Operating Systems , that is , Linux OS KNOPPIX 8.6 and Windows 10 OS , on the MSI GP70 2PE Laptop with the help of GRUB BOOTLOADER .
The problem happen after I decided to remove the 500 GB SATA Hard Disk Drive from the MSI GP70 2PE Laptop and decided to boot up the Laptop without the 500 GB SATA Hard Disk Drive .
After booting up the MSI GP70 2PE laptop , I got the error as shown below :
GRUB LOADING STAGE 1.5 GRUB LOADING , PLEASE WAIT ERROR 21
Following the instructions given by this site , I managed to solve the problem .

The "bootrec" Utility really work for me , and after I restart the MSI GP70 2PE Laptop , I managed to get the Windows 10 Operating System up and running without any errors .
