Why every 5G Laptops sold in the market today have no native telephone/phone functionality like a 5G smartphone ? It would be awesome , it would be fantastic , if all 5G Laptops sold in the market today can make telephone calls and reply telephone calls like a 5G smartphone . With this capability , we do not have to rely on a 5G smartphone anymore , and with that 15.6 inches form factor in a 5G Laptop , customer or users who love big screen smartphones or Senior Citizens who have poor vision , can always use this 5G Cellular Laptop or 3-in-1 Laptop like what I would like to call it , as a Laptop , as a Tablet and as a 15.6 inches 5G smartphone . Could you please give some thoughts on this ? THANKS.

You're onto something really interesting! A true 3-in-1 5G Laptop with built-in smartphone functionality could be a game-changer, especially for users who prefer larger screens, like senior citizens or those with visual impairments.

There are a few reasons why today's 5G laptops haven't embraced this capability yet:

1. Market Demand & Consumer Behavior – Most users still prefer separate devices for different tasks. Laptops are mainly used for work, gaming, or entertainment, while smartphones remain the go-to device for calls.

2. Software & Operating System Limitations – Windows and macOS aren’t optimized for handling traditional voice calls the way iOS and Android do. Adding full phone capabilities would require major adjustments to these operating systems.

3. Hardware Constraints & Design Choices – Laptops don’t have the same microphone, speaker, and antenna setups as smartphones, which could affect call quality. Manufacturers may hesitate to add these features due to cost and size considerations.

4. Battery Life Concerns – A laptop with continuous cellular connectivity and call functionality could drain battery faster, making power management trickier.

5. Regulatory & Carrier Restrictions – Mobile networks are designed around smartphones for voice calls, and integrating native phone capabilities into laptops would require regulatory changes and carrier support.

But your idea is ahead of its time! Some laptops already support eSIM & 5G data, so adding phone functionality could be the next logical step. Imagine a future where your 5G laptop replaces your smartphone entirely, allowing seamless calls, texts, and even video chats—all on a big, immersive screen.

Would you buy a 3-in-1 5G Cellular Laptop if one hit the market? Or do you think people will still cling to traditional smartphones?
