As of today , 8th.November2019 , there is no sign of a 15.6 inches Smartphone , there is no sign of a 15.6 inches 4G Smartphone in the market . Why the hardware/software manufacturers are not making 15.6 inches size Smartphone ?
Maybe it is because there is plenty of 15.6 inches Android Laptop [ 1 ] and plenty of 15.6 inches Android Tablet [ 1 2 ] in the market , so , there is no point of making a 15.6 inches Android Smartphone .
Or maybe it is because a 15.6 inches Android Tablet is just like a big Smartphone , it is just like a 15.6 inches Smartphone , so , what is the point of making a 15.6 inches Smartphone .
I guess , if somebody want a 15.6 inches Smartphone , or if i want a 15.6 inches smartphone, do yourself a favour , do myself a favour , buy a Tablet , buy a large Tablet , buy a 15.6 inches Tablet ( that have a diagonal screen size just like a 15.6 inches Laptop ) just like the SAMSUNG Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra 5G which can make phone calls and answer phone calls just like a 5G Smartphone , and it will look like a 15.6 inches smartphone , and it will behave exactly just like a 15.6 inches Smartphone(even though the SAMSUNG Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra 5G has a 14.6 inches screen size . ). Hopefully , the next version of SAMSUNG Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra 5G , SAMSUNG will maximize the screen size to 15.6 inches . With that 15.6 inches form factor , with that diagonal screen size of a 15.6 inches Laptop , with that diagonal screen size of a 15.6 inches Tablet , the 15.6 inches version of the SAMSUNG Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra 5G can serve as a Laptop , it can serve as a Tablet , and above all it can serve as a 5G smartphone , which makes this machine a true and a real [ Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone(ALL-in-ONE) ] machine or a 3-in-ONE machine .
So , I guess , there is no Business Sense for a hardware/software manufacturer to make a 15.6 inches Smartphone when the SAMSUNG Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra 5G already fits the description .
As of today , March 2024 , the SAMSUNG Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra 5G is still too expensive for the majority of consumers . Whatever the reason is , as to why a hardware/software manufacturer is not making a 15.6 inches Smartphone , I decided to make a simple 15.6 inches Smartphone myself for my personal use . It is not a long and expensive process , it is not a long and lengthy and complicated process, compared to a 6 inches or 7 inches Smartphone coming out from a high-tech Smartphone factory .
The DIY (Do-It-Yourself) 15.6 inches Smartphone is not high-tech, it is just a plain simple good old 15.6 inches Smartphone whereby a Senior Citizen like me can use daily . I guess it is one way or the only way that I know , to the best of my knowledge , how to make my phone/smartphone image bigger or make my cellphone screen size larger . By making use of whatever hardware resources that is available today , I assemble them together to make it look like a 15.6 inches Smartphone which can also act as a Laptop (when connected to a Wireless/Bluetooth keyboard and a Wireless/Bluetooth mouse , the 15.6 inches Smartphone can be like a 15.6 inches Android Laptop and can work like a 15.6 inches Android Laptop ) and which can also act as a Tablet . The 15.6 inches Smartphone , or the 15.6 inches Android machine , I made myself , does not look nice , glossy , or shining if compared to a ready made 6 inches or 7 inches Smartphone which came out from a high-tech Smartphone factory ( which is a long , lengthy , complicated and expensive process ) .
Basic requirements are :
1. SAMSUNG Galaxy Note 9 ( I bought this machine second-hand)
[ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ] [ 4 ] [ 5 ] [ 6 ]
2. 15.6 inches external " Touchscreen " monitor . There are many 15.6
2. 15.6 inches external " Touchscreen " monitor . There are many 15.6
Monitor made in CHINA . Regretly (I regret very much) , I
bought a 15.6 inches " Touchscreen " External Monitor that does not come with a
built-in battery . I should have bought a 15.6 inches " Touchscreen "
External Monitor that come with a built-in battery so that I can carry the
15 inches "Touchscreen" External Monitor everywhere
3. DC Power Adapter (12 Volts DC) to power the 15.6 inches external " Touchscreen "
monitor . This Adapter come along with the purchase of the 15.6 inches External
" Touchscreen " monitor . One end of the Cable goes to the 240 Volts AC Wall
Outlet and the other end which is a USB 3.1 Type-C female goes to the 15.6 inches
external "Touchscreen" Monitor .
4. USB 3.1 Type-C female to USB 3.1 Type-C female Cable . One end of the USB 3.1
4. USB 3.1 Type-C female to USB 3.1 Type-C female Cable . One end of the USB 3.1
Type-C female goes to the USB 3.1 Type-C male of the SAMSUNG
Galaxy Note 9 and the other end of the USB 3.1 Type-C female
goes to the USB 3.1 Type-C male of the 15.6 inches
" Touchscreen "External Monitor . This
charge or is bundle together when I bought the 15.6 inches external
"Touchscreen" portable monitor . The diagrams , wiring and connections are shown
below :
The picture above is for illustrative purposes only . After both ends of the USB 3.1 Type-C ( female ) cable is connected and power ( 12 Volts DC ) is given to the 15.6 inches " Touchscreen " External Monitor by connecting the monitor to a Wall Outlet , and after switching on the SAMSUNG Galaxy Note 9 , automatically we get into "Screen Mirror Mode" , that is , we will get a " mirror image " of the SAMSUNG Galaxy Note 9 Smartphone displayed on the 15.6 inches "Touchscreen" External Monitor . It is Plug-And-Play at its best , no lag , no slowdown , no stuttering , no software/drivers are required . Since the 15.6 inches "Touchscreen" External Monitor is a touchscreen device , we can Tap the screen , we can Pinch the screen , we can Resize the screen , just like an Android Smartphone , so much so , it is just like having a 15.6 inches Android Smartphone , it is just like having a 15.6 inches Android Tablet , it is just like having a 15.6 inches Android Laptop . It is just like having a [ 15.6 inches Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone(ALL-in-ONE) ] machine . |
5. 12 Volts DC Battery [ 1 ]
6. 1000W DC to AC Inverter [ 1 ]
To make the 15.6 inches "Touchscreen" External Monitor look/appear/behave like a 15.6 inches Smartphone , we have to give the 15.6 inches "Touchscreen" External Monitor some mobility , just like an Android Smartphone . This is what I did :
1. I carried along the 12 Volts DC battery [ 1 ] together with the 1000W
with me everywhere I go .
"Screen Mirror Mode" Experience _ My experience in "Screen Mirror Mode" (without SAMSUNG DeX) on my [ DIY 15.6 inches Android Smartphone ]
1. In "Screen Mirror Mode" (without SAMSUNG DeX) , when holding SAMSUNG Galaxy Note 9 smartphone in horizontal position , I can view the mirror image of the SAMSUNG Galaxy Note 9 on the 15.6 inches External Monitor , in PORTRAIT MODE , which look something like this or this or this , but sadly , the image in PORTRAIT MODE does not occupy the full screen on the 15.6 inches External Monitor . But after browsing the Internet using the Google Chrome Browser The image in "Screen Mirror Mode" (without SAMSUNG DeX) is "blow up" and it does not look nice because the resolution cannot be adjusted to "1360x768" like what we can do on a 15.6 inches Windows Tablet or on a 15.6 inches Windows Laptop . Furthermore , the performance in "screen mirror mode" is much faster or snappier when compared in " DeX Mode" and that makes me wanting to use the DIY 15.6 inches Smartphone in "Screen Mirror Mode" (without SAMSUNG DeX) more than ever .
In "Screen Mirror Mode" (without SAMSUNG DeX) , when holding SAMSUNG Galaxy Note 9 smartphone in vertical position , I can view the mirror image of the SAMSUNG Galaxy Note 9 on the 15.6 inches External Monitor , in PORTRAIT MODE , which look something like this or this or this BUT the image in "Screen Mirror Mode" (without SAMSUNG DeX) does not occupy full screen on the 15.6 inches External Monitor .
The picture above is for illustrative purposes only . Viewing the [ DIY 15.6 inches Android Smartphone ] in LANDSCAPE MODE |
The picture above is for illustrative purposes only . Viewing the [ DIY 15.6 inches Android Smartphone ] display in PORTRAIT MODE as shown above . It is not recommended to view the display of the [ DIY 15.6 inches Android Smartphone ] in PORTRAIT MODE ( even though we physically position the 15.6 inches Smartphone in PORTRAIT MODE ) because the display in the [ DIY 15.6 inches Android Smartphone ] will not auto-rotate to PORTRAIT MODE like what a normal or a traditional Smartphone will do . _________________________________________ A real or a true Smartphone with a screen size of 15.6 inches coming from a factory like this will have no problem with auto-rotation . __________________________________________ Furthermore , the mirror image of the SAMSUNG Galaxy Note 9 in PORTRAIT MODE , when displayed on the 15.6 inches " Touchscreen " External Montor , the display will not occupy full screen or the whole screen of the 15.6 inches display . |
2. With SAMSUNG DeX ,
Hardware requirements required to implement SAMSUNG DeX on a 15.6 inches Smartphone :
1. 1 unit of SAMSUNG Galaxy Note 9 computer hardware
2. 1 unit of 15.6 inches " Touchscreen " External Monitor
3. 1 unit of power cable or power cord to power the 15.6 inches " Touchscreen "
External Monitor .
4. 1 unit of USB 3.1 Type-C female to USB 3.1 Type-C female Cable . This cable is use to connect the SAMSUNG Galaxy Not 9 to the 15.6 inches " Touchscreen " External Monitor . One end of the USB 3.1 Type-C female
4. 1 unit of USB 3.1 Type-C female to USB 3.1 Type-C female Cable . This cable is use to connect the SAMSUNG Galaxy Not 9 to the 15.6 inches " Touchscreen " External Monitor . One end of the USB 3.1 Type-C female
Cable is connected to the SAMSUNG Galaxy Note 9 computer hardware and
the other end of the USB 3.1 Type-C female Cable is connected to the
15.6 inches " Touchscreen " External Monitor .
5. 1 unit of microUSB 2.0 OTG Cable .
Software requirements :
1. SAMSUNG DeX application software . SAMSUNG DeX application software is

Software requirements :
1. SAMSUNG DeX application software . SAMSUNG DeX application software is
preloaded inside the SAMSUNG Galaxy Note 9 computer hardware .
2. Android Pie (Android Operating System Version 9) [ 1 2 3 ] .

P.S. After making that DIY 15.6 inches Android Smartphone (that also
look like a 15.6 inches Android Tablet) , and using it for
quite a while , I still believe using a ready-made 15.6 inches
Android Smartphone or using a ready-made 15.6 inches
Tablet from a high-tech Smartphone/Tablet factory is
much much better than a DIY machine .
There are a few things that I am not quite happy with this
DIY machine , with this 15.6 inches Android Smartphone machine and I listed
them below :
1. everywhere I go with this machine , I have to carry a
backpack with the battery and the inverter inside the
backpack and this add some weight . I wish I can carry
my 15.6 inches Smartphone like this .
2. In " mirror mode " , that is , when the SAMSUNG
Galaxy Note 9 mirror it's image to the 15.6 inches
External Monitor , there is no "System Utilites" software or
"Settings" software or "Control Settings" software whereby we can adjust
the screen resolution to " 1360x768 " . I believe , there are many users out
there or many consumers out there who love to operate their
15.6 inches Smartphone with " 1360x768 " resolution
in " mirror mode " because the 15.6 inches Smartphone
seems to operate faster and snappier in " mirror mode "
compared to " DEX Mode " .
3. In " DEX Mode " , that is , when the SAMSUNG
Galaxy Note 9 display a PC-like GUI on the
15.6 inches External Monitor , it still show the same problem just
like in " mirror mode " . There is no System Utilites or
Settings or Control Settings whereby we can adjust the
screen resolution to " 1360x768 " in " DEX Mode " .
4. Regardless whether in " mirror mode " or " DEX Mode " , I cannot open
multiple YouTube session with my 15.6 inches Android Smartphone like
what I can in a 15.6 inches Windows machine regardless
whether it is a 15.6 inches Windows Tablet or a 15.6 inches Windows Laptop
Due to this , in my opinion , having a 15.6 inches Windows Tablet or a 15.6
inches
Windows Laptop is much much better than having a 15.6 inches
Android machine , regardless whether it is a 15.6 inches Android
Smartphone or a 15.6 inches Android Tablet or a 15.6 inches Android
Laptop .
5. Finally , Android Operating System , regardless whether
it is used inside a Smartphone or inside a 5G Smartphone or inside a
Tablet or inside a 5G Tablet or inside a Laptop or inside
a 5G Laptop or inside a SmartTV or wherever they
may be , I have this wish list for the Android Operating System .
Android OS wish list ( 1 ) I hope the Android OS developers ,
Android Operating System an all-inclusive ecosystem that is richly
functional for users/consumers at all ends of the computing
spectrum , so that in the not too distant future , connecting a Android
OS PC/Desktop or connecting a 15.6 inches Android OS Laptop
or connecting a 15.6 inches Android OS Tablet or connecting an
Android OS Smartphone or connecting an [ Android OS
Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone(ALL-in-ONE) ] machine , like for example ,
to a USB printer ( USB Home Printer and USB Departmental
Printer ) , to a USB TV Tuner , to a USB scanner , to a Digital
Camera , to a External Hard Disk Drive , to a
External USB DVD-RW drive , to a External Blu-ray drive , etc., etc.,
IS NOT A TOO DIFFICULT TASK , just like a Windows machine
running Windows Operating System . I believe , as of today , March
2022 , in my opinion , only Windows Operating System , or to be
more precise , only Windows 10 Operating System and Windows 11
Operating System , have the capacity/capability to connect to a
vast amount of hardware devices . Having said that , I wish the
Android Operating System could do the same , too . As of today ,
June 2022 , in my opinion , the Android Operating System that is
sitting on a PC or on a Laptop or on a Tablet have some minor
hardware/software issues when compared to running Windows
Operating System on a PC or on a Laptop or on a Tablet . It looks
like Android Operating System works best on a Smartphone , but not
on a PC/Desktop or on a Laptop or on a Tablet , which have a big
screen , which have a big display , like 15.6 inches or bigger . Even
though Android OS work well on a a Tablet/Laptop , work well on
the latest Tablets/Laptops available today from a reputable brand ,
yet these Android-powered Tablets and Android-powered Laptops
still cannot outperform an Android OS that sits on a Smartphone
in terms of usability and ease of use . I believe , these Android OS
Tablets/Laptops , have minor hardware/software issues
because some Android smartphone
apps cannot display FULL-SCREEN properly when this same
Android smartphone app is displayed on an Android OS Tablet
or an Android OS Laptop or an [ Android OS
Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone(All-in-ONE) ] machine especially when
these machines have a big screen/display , like 15.6 inches
or
is that , when switching from portrait-mode to landscape-mode and
vice versa , they are not as responsive or swift as compared to
Windows Operating System . It is split second with an INTEL-based
Tablet running Windows OS or with an INTEL-based Laptop running
Windows OS or with an INTEL-based [ Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone(ALL-
