The MSI GP70 2PE laptop is friends with Linux Operating System KNOPPIX 7.4 64-bit

• Installation of Linux OS KNOPPIX 7.4  to a RAM drive on a MSI GP70 2PE laptop with 8GB of main memory is okay . Insert a bootable Knoppix 7.4 DVD inside the MSI GP70 laptop and install the OS as shown here

• Networking with RJ-45 port of MSI GP70 is okay. Linux OS KNOPPIX 7.4  64-bit  detected the embedded network card or the embedded network chipset inside the MSI GP70 and the MSI GP70  automatically connect straight to my home wireless router when I connect the LAN cable straight to the RJ-45 port of my MSI GP70 [ 1 2 3 4 ]

• Wifi is okay. KNOPPIX 7.4  64-bit detected the embedded wifi chipset inside the MSI GP70 laptop and recognise it as  INTEL WIRELESS 3160 (DUAL BAND WIRELESS-AC 3160) ,  as shown here . Setup Wi-Fi using KNOPPIX  7.4  to connect MSI GP70 laptop to my home wireless router as shown here is okay .  Setup Wi-Fi using KNOPPIX  7.4  to connect MSI GP70 laptop to my 3G/4G network as shown here is okay .

• Bluetooth is okay. It can connect to my bluetooth speaker, bluetooth keyboard and bluetooth mouse. But it requires some basic installation and configuration under the Linux Operating System KNOPPIX 7.4  First , installed the Linux Operating System KNOPPIX 7.4 on the MSI GP70 laptop as shown here . Setup bluetooth using  KNOPPIX 7.4  to connect MSI GP70 laptop to PHILIPS SB7200 Bluetooth speaker as shown here  is okay .  Setup bluetooth using KNOPPIX  7.4  to connect MSI GP70 laptop to a small speaker wirelessly via a PHILIPS Bluetooth Hi-Fi Adapter as shown  here  is okay .

• Graphics is okay. KNOPPIX 7.4  64-bit detected the embedded graphics chipset and I am able to select the 1360x768 resolution which I am quite comfortable with .  We have seen these when we installed the Linux Operating System KNOPPIX  7.4 on a RAM drive  on the MSI GP70 laptop as shown here  The embedded graphics chipset on the MSI GP70 can also have 3D effects but we have to boot KNOPPIX  7.4  with  a cheatcode like this , that is ,   boot :    knoppix64  toram  3d

• MSI GP70 laptop connecting to PHILIPS 32 inch LED TV as a laptop monitor is okay . Resolution setting for PHILIPS 32 inch LED TV as a laptop monitor on the MSI GP70 is shown here .

  

• Installed the Linux version of the  Nero Burning software on the Linux Operating System KNOPPIX  7.4  on the MSI GP70 is okay .
