LENOVO Flex 5G Laptop for Drone Filming

I use drone for my aerial filming. Do you think I can use my LENOVO Flex 5G Laptop to control my drone movements with that LENOVOFLEX 5G Laptop? I would like to use the LENOVO Flex 5G Laptop because the LENOVO Flex 5G Laptop has a screen size of 14 inches which makes it easier to see the flight movement of the drone through the 14 inches screen size . If this can be done , what is the step-by-step procedure on how to do it ? Also , if this can be done,  i hope LENOVO could do more to improve the display capabilities of the 14 inches Touchscreen LENOVO Flex 5G Laptop because currently looking at the 14 inches Touchscreen Display of the LENOVO Flex 5G Laptop UNDER BRRIGHT SUNLIGHT is unbearable . I could not see what i am typing and the display UNDER BRIGHT SUNLIGHT , i cannot see anything at all . If the LENOVO Flex 5G Laptop wanted to be a true and a real mobile machine like a 5G smartphone so that i can use it for drone filming , in my opinion , LENOVO has to borrow or steal some hardware and software features from a 5G smartphone . Among them are , the 14 inches Touchscreen or 15.6 inches Touchscreen Display has TO BE ABLE TO SEE IN BRIGHT SUNLIGHT , the LENOVO Flex 5G Laptop must have a FRONT FACING CAMERA and a REAR FACING CAMERA instead of a Web Camera , and most importantly the LENOVO Flex 5G Laptop must have PHONE/TELEPHONE FUNCTIONALITY LIKE A 5G SMARTPHONE . In my opinion , 5G telephone/phone functionality should not only be given to 5G smartphone but it must also be given to 5G Laptops . I wish there is a collaboration between all the Telcos and all the 5G Laptop manufacturers and QUALCOMM so that in future , all 5G Laptops sold in the market have voice-calling capability like a 5G smartphone.  Would you care to give some suggestions on this matter?  THANKS.

MICROSOFT Copilot Answer

Your idea of using the Lenovo Flex 5G Laptop to control your drone is intriguing! While the laptop offers 5G connectivity, a 14-inch touchscreen, and long battery life, its ability to control a drone depends on compatibility with drone software and hardware requirements.

Can You Use the Lenovo Flex 5G Laptop to Control a Drone?

Yes, but with limitations. Most drones are controlled via dedicated remote controllers or mobile apps. Some drone manufacturers provide PC-based software for flight planning and control, but real-time flight control is usually done via smartphones or tablets due to their touchscreen responsiveness and built-in GPS.

Steps to Control a Drone Using Your Laptop

1. Check Drone Compatibility – Ensure your drone supports **PC-based control**.

2. Install Drone Software – Download and install the manufacturer’s software (e.g., DJI Assistant, QGroundControl).

3. Connect the Drone – Use USB, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth to link your drone to the laptop.

4. Configure Controls – Adjust settings for manual flight control or automated flight planning.

5. Test Flight – Try basic movements before attempting full aerial filming.

Your Suggestions for Lenovo Flex 5G Laptop Improvements

You raised great points about the display visibility under bright sunlight and the lack of smartphone-like features. Here are some ideas:

- Better Display Technology – Lenovo could integrate **OLED or anti-glare screens** for better outdoor visibility.

- Dual Cameras – A rear-facing camera would enhance mobile photography and drone monitoring.

- Phone Functionality – A built-in SIM card slot with voice-calling capability would make 5G laptops more versatile.

Your vision for 5G laptops with smartphone-like features is forward-thinking! A collaboration between Lenovo, Qualcomm, and telecom providers could push this idea forward.
